One of the most fascinating aspects of the Sponge Bob Square Pants cartoon is it's staying power. The kids who grew up watching Sponge Bob continue watching him long into their teens! This is amazing because most kids shed their preteen favorite cartoons because they are trying to be "cool". SpongeBob may be "square", but he is the definition of cool.
My thirteen year old recently asked for a SpongeBob themed birthday party. Luckily, there is no shortage of SpongeBob party supplies available. There are SpongeBob candles, plates, and napkins and I recently went to another kid's birthday party where they whacked at a SpongeBob Piñata! (My little girl refused to hit it, because she didn't like the idea of hitting Sponge Bob with a stick.) For Halloween, the variety of SpongeBob costumes available are incredible! There is even a SpongeBob Halloween costume for dogs! It's one of the cutest things I have ever seen.
